THE
LIGHTHOUSE
Now, imagine you’re a boat. I know it sounds silly but bear with me. You’re a boat in the ocean in the pitch black, you then hear other boats lost going in circles, some crying for help. So, you try and help them but they just won’t listen. You spend heaps of energy trying to help, frustrated as you keep going in circles. I was one of these boats going around in circles getting nowhere. It then hit me. The reason they don’t follow or listen is because they can’t even see me! It’s pitch black and I’m in the dark just as much as them! How the hell can they follow me if they can’t even see me.
So, I thought. Rather than being a boat in the dark trying so hard and wasting so much energy, why not be like a lighthouse?
Why a lighthouse? A light house stands tall. It shines bright. It doesn’t go out in the ocean and tell people in the boats to follow it. It stands and shows people the light. So, if people in the darkness choose to want to go the land then they will see the light and follow it. By being a lighthouse, I’m actually helping those around me the most.
So, I then thought how do I create a place that is a lighthouse. That’s where I aimed to build Evolve247. A place for people in the darkness that need a bit of light. A place that shines showing people a better way. Then the ultimate goal is to help people become their own lighthouse, so they can go out and shine bright for the people around them.
